After having a design approved to build during the beginning of the Fall Semester in ME407, fabrication of the vehicle begins. LOBOmotorsports is fortunate to have a large workshop in the basement of the mechanical engineering building and, recently, a composites fabrication lab down the hallway.

The main shop is where the cars are assembled and older cars kept in running condition. Students have access to nearly any tool they could need to build and assemble the vehicle, including two lathes and a mill. For more complex parts, LOBOmotorsports is fortunate enough to have the school machine shop next door, always willing to help out and lend us time on CNC mills and lathes.

The new composites fabrication lab is designed to be a state of the art laboratory for preparing light weight carbon fiber parts. All body panels and wings are made in-house in this new lab.
